Thought Factory
by hannah_g and Leslie Supnet

Combining the concise whimsy of hannah_g's micro-narratives with the pathos and vulnerability of Leslie Supnet's illustrations, Thought Factory is a woeful tale of postindustrial, interspecies precarity and a wry Prairie response to the inflated legacies of conceptual art.

hannah_g is a writer and multi-disciplinary artist based in Winnipeg. Narrative is at the heart of her practice, whether it’s in the magic realist stories she makes in response to environment and conversation or public space interventions created to spark ideas and dialogue about enchantment and social justice. hannah has used sound, storytelling, writing, collage, chalking, stencils, screenprinting, and postering to this end. She is co-director of aceartinc., an artist-run centre in Winnipeg.

Leslie Supnet is an artist whose drawing, animated and film work aims to represent sincerity, lived experience, and the multiplicity of human emotion. Her moving image works have screened at various festivals, such as the International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, Images Festival and International Film Festival Rotterdam.
